Thinking Black Anthology Vol. I

This anthology is the beautiful product of two of our writing programmes: the ACT Essay Prize and the Creative Writing Prize. 

Our students attended a fleet of lectures and discussion groups, critically analysing works by Black artists and academics, allies and activists. They took part in writing skills workshops and tutorials and submitted their original responses to a variety of socially engaged prompts.

The writers of this anthology have been selected from a cohort of over a hundred talented students, and their interdisciplinary work draws from a variety of sources including literature, music, and film. Topics include reflections on COVID, the climate crisis and identity.
